 Little Traveller ‘Footballers’ journey from host country of 2010 Championship

They are just as hot as Christiano Ronaldo and Didier Drogba. For World Cup fans not attending the tournament, Little Traveller ‘Footballers’ are a must-have souvenir because of their authenticity and symbolism of South Africa.

An emblem of sportsmanship, hope, and global unity, the ‘Footballers’ are also a reminder of the country’s struggle against the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Little Traveller pins are handcrafted by South African women affected by HIV and sold throughout Canada by volunteers. The group then sends 100% of funds raised back to South Africa to provide an income for the crafters and to fund a local AIDS hospice. In this way, Little Travellers have raised nearly $300,000 in five years.
